• 1 cup flour
• 1 cup warm water
• 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
• 1 teaspoon oil
• 1/4 cup salt
• food coloring

Mix all ingredients, add food coloring last. Stir over medium heat until smooth. Remove from pan and knead until blended and smooth. Place in plastic bag or airtight container when cooled. Will last for a long time.

Are you looking for a place to meet other parents and childcare providers while interacting with the children in your care?

Welcome to our facility: 

The Charlemagne Preschool Resource Centre is a well equipped drop-in that operates playgroups from September to June.  We have a huge selection of toys and equipment for children 0 through 6 years. 

There is a dress-up area, large block-building section, sandbox, a creative play area with different arts and crafts each week and many educational table top toys and books for the children to enjoy. 

We also have an infant area with a cozy sofa and two rocking chairs for feeding and comforting baby while enjoying the company of others.

Our hours of operation:

 

Monday to Friday 9:00 to 11:30 a.m.

Monday and Wednesday 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

 Infant and siblings group

 

Program Closure: March 12-16th inclusive for March Break

 

Note: if the FULL sign is on the door, we have met capacity

 

 Attendance is limited to two visits per week

 

Services are provided free of charge.

Welcome to our facility!!

In our playroom we offer a dramatic play area complete with dress-up, kitchen, food preparation and imaginative role play. Our gross motor area includes large blocks, cars, trucks, castles, planes, etc. We have two train tables complete with a train set for the children to stand and play at.  For children on the move we have a small climber and ride on toys.

In the sensory area, children can explore water, sand, paint and playdough. Children have the opportunity to create and design their own artwork or follow the patterned activity for the day. Messy play is fun for kids!! Smocks are provided.

Fine Motor play is found in a variety of table tops toys including puzzles, stacking, pegs and more. Paint brushes, crayons, chalk and scissors are available to assist with school readiness.

Our Infant Corner and Kinder-room (for children 3yrs. plus) provide age appropriate play for these groups of children.
